EU chief discusses Gaza humanitarian crisis in Egypt

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen expressed her opposition to the forced displacement of Palestinians during a meeting with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi in Cairo. She thanked Egypt for its role in providing humanitarian aid to vulnerable Palestinians and discussed the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Von der Leyen also visited North Sinai to inspect a European Union humanitarian convoy and meet with wounded Palestinians.
