Polish police arrest woman with Islamic extremist sympathies who planted explosive device in Warsaw

A 38-year-old Polish woman with Islamic extremist sympathies has been arrested and charged after planting an explosive device in central Warsaw. The woman placed the device and then returned to her home in western Poland. Although there were no injuries, the device had the potential to cause harm. The suspect, described as a Polish woman interested in Middle Eastern affairs, was tracked using CCTV footage. Police found items related to the Islamic State in her home.
