Violence erupts at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf convention, workers clash with police
Saturday, 25 November 2023 A clash between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers and police occurred in Upper Dir district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during a party convention. The district administration had blocked roads leading to the convention site, resulting in confrontations between the two groups. PTI workers pelted stones at the police officers, and in the midst of the clash, a PTI worker and a policeman sustained bullet injuries. PTI's Omar Ayub Khan accused the police of firing on the workers.
On Thursday, a clash erupted between Nihang Sikhs and Police officials at a Gurudwara Akal Bunga at Kapurthala in Punjab’s Sultanpur Lodhi. According to reports, a police constable has been killed and three policemen have sustained injuries.
