French warship docks in Egypt, could treat Gaza children this week - minister

The French helicopter carrier Dixmude, a Western military ship, has docked in Egypt with medical capacities transformed into a military-civilian medical force, including paediatrics and two operating theatres. It has 40 beds and 22 civilian doctors on board. The carrier's arrival aims to treat wounded children from Gaza and be part of a humanitarian coalition. Italy has already sent a naval medical ship, and Britain may soon deploy a similar ship for medical purposes.
