Japan space agency likely penetrated by cyber attack

Japan's space agency, JAXA, was likely penetrated by unknown entities in a cyber attack this year. The attack targeted the central server, which controls JAXA's intranet. However, no sensitive information about rockets or satellites was accessed. JAXA is currently investigating the incident in cooperation with police and cybersecurity vendor companies. This cyber attack follows previous attacks on Nagoya Port and the National Center of Incident Readiness and Strategy for Cybersecurity, raising concerns about Japan's cyber defences.
