EU seeks agreement on world's first AI law

IndiaTimes Wednesday, 6 December 2023

The EU's proposed AI law aims to regulate systems based on the level of risk they pose. Negotiations have focused on how to regulate generative AI, such as ChatGPT and Google's Bard chatbot. Some member states are concerned that excessive regulation will stifle innovation and prevent the emergence of European AI giants.
