Pakistan: Senate chairman accepts Imran Khan's party leader Shaukat Tarin's resignation

IndiaTimes Sunday, 10 December 2023
Pakistan Senate Chairman, Sadiq Sanjrani, accepted the resignation of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shaukat Tarin from the upper house of parliament. Tarin, who cited financial and health reasons for quitting politics, met with Sanjrani in Dubai to tender his resignation. The resignation is a significant blow to PTI, which has already faced the departure of several leaders, including Usman Buzdar, since protests erupted following the arrest of former Prime Minister Imran Khan.
