Pakiatan army chief leaves for US on first official visit

Pakistan's army chief General Asim Munir departed for his first official trip to the US. During the visit, he is scheduled to meet senior US military and government officials. The trip comes as Pakistan's relationship with the US has been strained, particularly during former Prime Minister Imran Khan's tenure. Despite the tensions, military-level engagements between the two countries have continued. Earlier this year, there were reports of a secret trip by Gen Munir to the US, which were denied.
