Donald Trump doubles down on 'dictator' remarks

IndiaTimes Tuesday, 12 December 2023
Trump reiterated his controversial statement about wanting to be a 'dictator for one day' if reelected. This reaffirmation came in response to a New York Times article by Peter Baker, which discussed Trump's previous comments on the subject. "I said I want to be a dictator for one day. You know why I wanted to be a dictator? Because I want a wall, and I want to drill, drill, drill," he said. The former US president's remarks were met with audience chants of 'build a wall', to which Trump responded affirmatively.
