MI6 chief thanks Russian state television for its 'help' in encouraging Russians to spy for the UK

IndiaTimes Tuesday, 12 December 2023
The head of Britain's foreign intelligence agency thanks Russian state television for translating and broadcasting his speech encouraging Russians to spy for the UK. Anchor Maria Butina, a former Russian spy, includes the clip in a program about Richard Moore, the head of MI6. Moore appreciates the unexpected help from Russian TV. Butina questions the effectiveness of Moore's recruiting methods and suggests that the portrayal of MI6 in her show would discourage anyone from becoming a British spy.
