Pakistan: Anti-terrorism court sends Khadija Shah to another 7 days of police custody

Fashion designer Khadija Shah is remanded in police custody for another seven days by an anti-terrorism court in Quetta. The district attorney sought a 14-day remand, but the judge only granted seven days. Shah's lawyer argued that she had nothing to do with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). She was arrested in Lahore and then moved to Balochistan. Previously, she was granted bail in one case but was re-arrested under the Maintenance of Public Order ordinance.
