The release of tax funds allocated for the Palestinian Authority (PA) and currently frozen by Israel is anticipated to take place soon, as indicated by Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Stoere. Norway, serving as a mediator, has been actively involved in facilitating this agreement. According to the interim peace agreements established in the 1990s, Israel's finance ministry is responsible for collecting taxes on behalf of the Palestinians and forwarding the funds to the PA.
