Honolulu High-Rise Fire: Another Preventable Fatal Fire
Saturday, 15 July 2017 () HONOLULU, July 15, 2017 : Yesterday's tragic high-rise fire is a sombering reminder that high-rise buildings without fire sprinklers place occupants and firefighters at great risk. 3 people are confirmed dead and over 15 injured in a 5-alarm fire that started on the 26th floor of the Marco Polo building.
At least three people died and 12 were injured Friday in a fire at a Honolulu high-rise that was not equipped with sprinklers, authorities said, and hundreds fled the giant condominium complex as smoke billowed from the upper floors. CBS News' Brook Silva-Braga reports.
