News video: Suspect Killed After Fatally Shooting Police OfficerPolice in Washington state shot and killed a man barricading himself in a house who held two children hostage. But an officer who initially responded to a domestic disturbance call at the residence was shot; he was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital. The suspect remained barricaded in a house for almost 12-hours after the shooting. Despite the efforts of police negotiators to coax him out of the house peacefully, a SWAT team entered the home and killed the suspect. Pierce County Sheriff's Office spokesman told reporters the suspect used the children as shields.
