News video: More than 800 new French police officers welcomed to the jobMore than 800 police recruits have been welcomed to their new jobs in France, as part of efforts to boost security after recent terrorist attacks. The officers are part of an intake of 4,600 recruited last year. The government says over the past five years police recruitment has increased tenfold. Also, an increasing number of people are showing interest in joining France’s security forces. The army says following attacks in 2015 it has been receiving 1500 applications a day, compared to 500 a day before the attacks.
