Karlie Kloss, a white model, apologized for appearing in a spread for Vogue's diversity issue in which she's styled as a geisha. Kloss called her error "culturally insensitive.

" For the fashion shoot, Kloss was styled in a black wig wearing a kimono.

In the introduction to the fashion spread Vogue writes that the images are "paying homage to geisha culture.

" In her tweet, posted on Wednesday, Kloss went on to say, "My goal is, and always will be, to empower and inspire women.

I will ensure my future shoots and projects reflect that mission.".
