News video: Pepe The Frog Creator Is Taking His Creation Back From The 'Alt-Right'You may know Pepe the Frog as a new symbol of far-right white supremacists, but its creator, Matt Furie, wanted the frog to be known as “chill.” According to Motherboard, Furie is working aggressively to reassert his trademark and his copyright. The artist has issued cease and desist orders to white nationalists Richard Spencer and Mike Cernovich. Furthermore, Furie’s filed legal action against companies like Reddit and Amazon who house his work illegally. Last month Furie’s lawyers reached a settlement with Eric Hauser. Hauser had used Pepe in a children’s book that alleged Muslims were taking over the United States.
