A fire broke out early morning today in a coach of Vande Bharat that was travelling from Bhopal to Delhi.
The fire was reported to break out in the battery box of the coaches of the Bhopal Hazrat Nizamuddin Vande Bharat Express.
According to the Indian Railways, the fire was reported in the battery box of one of the coaches, when the train had departed from Rani Kamalapati station, earlier known as Habibganj, towards Nizamuddin in New Delhi.
The train caught fire before reaching Madhya Pradesh's Bina station and it was stopped at Kurwai Kaithora where villagers helped to extinguish the fire.
Calling the 2024 Lok Sabha election results "the biggest step to protect India's Constitution", Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday said that the country has said it does not want Prime Minister Narendra Modi to "run the country". In a press conference in New Delhi, Gandhi said, "This was a fight to save the Constitution of the country and has emerged victorious in it. The country has said that they do not want Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah to run the country." According to data from the Election Commission (EC), Gandhi was leading on both the seats he was fighting on, Wayanad and Rae Bareli. In Rae Bareli, he was ahead of BJP's Dinesh Pratap Singh by 389,341 votes. In Wayanad, Gandhi was declared winner with a margin of 364,422 votes. He won a total of 647,445 votes, defeating the Communist Party of India's Annie Raja, who won 283,023 votes. In the press conference, Gandhi said that he had not yet decided which seat out of Wayanad or Rae Bareli he would drop. "I have not decided that yet," he said.

Three coaches of the Taj Express train caught fire in southeast Delhi's Sarita Vihar on Monday, officials said. No one was injured in the incident as passengers managed to get out of the affected coaches in time, they said. The cause of the fire was not known immediately. "We received a call at 4.24 pm regarding the fire in three coaches of the Taj Express train. Eight fire tenders were pressed into service and the fire was put out by 5.43 pm," a Delhi Fire Services (DFS) official said.

A tragic incident in Pune has left two people dead after a 17-year-old, speeding in a Porsche, collided with a motorbike. CCTV footage revealed the car was travelling well above the posted speed limits before the collision, which resulted in the deaths of two IT professionals from Madhya Pradesh, Aneesh Awadhiya and Ashwini Koshta.
