UK search and rescue specialists depart for Morocco
Two UK aid planes departed from RAF Brize Norton for Morocco on Sunday night, after the country was hit by a devastating 6.8 magnitude earthquake.
On board were around 60 search and rescue specialists, four search and rescue dogs, medical professionals, and specialist equipment to help with the rescue mission.

A Moroccan asylum seeker has been sentenced to life in jail for murder, with a minimum term of 45 years, at Teesside Crown Court. In October last year, 45-year-old Ahmed Alid stabbed Iranian Christian convert Javed Nouri at the house he was sharing with other asylum seekers before looking for more victims in Hartlepool town centre. He then stabbed and killed 70-year-old Terence Carney who was out for his regular early morning walk. Alid told police he had committed his crimes out of “revenge” for Israel killing children in the Palestinian conflict. Report by Jonesia. Shadow defence secretary John Healey has ruled out raising taxes on working people. It comes as Rishi Sunak accused Labour of increasing taxes by ÂŁ2,000 per family should they get into government. "We will not be raising income tax or VAT or national insurance - these are the things that count most as people are trying to manage their work income and family budgets," Mr Healey said.
