It's not clear what the new prices will be.
Currently, customers pay $15.49 a month
for the Standard ad-free tier and
$19.99 for the Premium plan.
Netflix also introduced an
ad-supported plan for $6.99 a month.
News of an impending price hike
comes after the company took steps to
mitigate password sharing earlier this year.
It now costs an additional "$7.99 per month to
share your account with someone outside
your household," The Verge reports.
