According to protest organisers, hundreds of thousands of Argentines flooded the streets to express their outrage over cuts to higher public education under the newly elected President Javier Milei. While police estimated around 100,000 participants in the capital alone, organisers claimed the number soared closer to half-a-million, effectively paralysing the city centre for hours.
