Starmer: Labour united over Israel-Hamas ceasefire decision
Labour Leader Sir Keir Starmer has insisted his party is united on its position not to call for a ceasefire in Gaza, saying it collectively wanted to see an "alleviation of suffering" and understood "Israel's right to self-defence".
Starmer's resistance to back a ceasefire has seen dozens of his councillors resign, and a number senior politicians - including the mayors of London and Greater Manchester - themselves calling for one.
