On December 11th, Moitra filed a petition with the Supreme Court challenging her expulsion from the Lok Sabha, a decision made in the wake of 'cash-for-query' allegations.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) searched Trinamool Congress leader Mahua Moitra's Kolkata residence in a cash-for-query case. This action followed the CBI's filing of a First Information Report (FIR) against Moitra. The Lokpal instructed the CBI to investigate the allegations and provide monthly updates on the progress.
