YS Sharmila, the daughter of the former Andhra Pradeshchief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, officially joined the Congress party on Thursday.
The significant move took place in the presence of party president Mallikarjun Kharge and former party chief Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi.
Not only did Sharmila join the Congress, but she also declared the merger of her YSR Telangana Party with the Congress, expressing her readiness to undertake any responsibilities entrusted to her.
