Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Congress to promise Right To Employment to youth in manifesto | Oneindia
Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, the Congress party is aiming to appeal to the youth by introducing a groundbreaking promise: the "right to employment." This pledge, a first of its kind for the party, forms a crucial part of its agenda for the 2024 polls.
Additionally, the Congress is contemplating imposing severe penalties on those found guilty of leaking exam papers.
The party's senior leadership is expected to unveil the details of the 'right to employment' initiative during a public rally in Badnawar, Madhya Pradesh, where both Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and former party chief Rahul Gandhi will be in attendance.

On April 28, the Election Commission of India (ECI) directed the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) to revise the content of its Lok Sabha campaign song to adhere to the Advertising Codes outlined in the Cable Television Network Rules, 1994, and ECI guidelines. The AAP was requested to make necessary modifications to the song and resubmit it for certification. “The phrase “jail ke jawaab me hum vote denge” showing an aggressive mob holding the photo of Arvind Kejriwal showing him behind bars, casts aspersions on the Judiciary. Further, the said phrase appears several times in the advertisement which contravenes the provisions of ECI Guidelines and Rule 6(1(g) of Programme and Advertising Codes prescribed under the Cable Television Network Rules, 1994” (DISPLAY) said ECI.

Arvinder Singh Lovely, the Delhi Congress chief, tendered his resignation on Sunday, citing significant interference by the party's general secretary in-charge and the contentious alliance with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Delhi. In his resignation letter addressed to Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge, Lovely expressed feeling "handicapped" and unable to effectively lead the Delhi Congress unit. Highlighting numerous instances of discord, Lovely outlined objections raised by several party leaders regarding the conduct of Deepak Babaria, the Congress's general secretary in-charge for Delhi. Despite these objections, Lovely faced immense pressure to dismiss the dissenting leaders who opposed Babaria's approach.
