Japan's Prime Minister Fumio Kishida will address the Republican-led US Congress on Thursday amid continued scepticism of the role of the US in international conflicts such as the Ukraine and Israel-Hamas wars.
On Wednesday, Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. announced that the forthcoming trilateral summit involving the United States, Philippines, and Japan will entail an agreement to uphold security and ensure freedom of navigation in the South China Sea. Marcos departed for Washington in the afternoon to engage in discussions with U.S. President Joe Biden and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida. The Tennessee House of Representatives passed the bill by a vote of 68-28 on April 23, CBS News reports.
The legislation would grant some teachers
and staff the right to carry concealed
handguns at public schools.
The bill will now be sent to Republican
Gov. Bill Lee to either sign or veto. .

1.9% worldwide between January and March,
