Transient Suffers Major Injuries after being Struck
On 4/10/24 at approximately 10:43 PM, San Diego Police Department responded to reports of a car accident on Washington Street near the SR-163 onramp in Hillcrest.
Upon their arrival, they found a black sedan that had hit a transient in the center median.
According to the driver, the male stepped off the median into his lane where he then hit the man.
The victim was taken to a local hospital with major injuries.
The driver stayed on the scene and cooperated with police.
DUI is not suspected.
SDPD is investigating.
