The Deseret News is a publishing company based in Salt Lake City, Utah, United States. Until December 31, 2020, it was Utah's oldest continuously published daily newspaper; it has the largest Sunday circulation in the state. The Deseret News is owned by Deseret News Publishing Company, a subsidiary of Deseret Management Corporation, a holding company owned by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The paper's name is derived from the word for "honeybee" in the Book of Mormon.
