K. T. Jaleel(born 30 May 1967), MLA from Thavanur is serving as Minister for Higher Education, Welfare of Minorities, Wakf and Hajj in the LDF led ministry. He was elected to Kerala Legislative Assembly in 2006 and 2011. He won 2016 Assembly elections as an independent candidate representing CPI (M). He is Associate Professor of History(on leave) in P.S.M.O. College, Tirurangadi.
