Michelle Caruso-Cabrera is a journalist running for Congress, and a Democrat who is a former Republican. A regular CNBC contributor, she was Chief International Correspondent for eight years. In late 2019, Caruso-Cabrera moved from Trump Tower to Sunnyside, Queens. Within a year, Caruso-Cabrera filed official paperwork to challenge incumbent Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in the Democratic primary for New York's 14th congressional district, which covers portions of The Bronx and Queens.
