Sunday, 20 July 2025 () The penalty shootout between England and Sweden at Euro 2025 will go down as one of the most dramatic in football history - but it was not an outlier at the tournament. BBC Sport investigates why spot-kicks are being missed.
The England women’s national football team have arrived in Zürich for the start of the European Championship in Switzerland. Euro 2025 kicks off on Wednesday, with England’s first Group D match against France taking place on Saturday evening.
