New York coronavirus hospitalizations at six-week low: governor
Friday, 8 May 2020 The number of people hospitalized for the novel coronavirus across New York has fallen to a six-week low as the state hit hardest by the pandemic has figured out how to "control the beast", Governor Andrew Cuomo told a briefing on Friday.
New York's coronavirus death toll has risen to 20,597 - an increase of almost 1,000 from Tuesday's numbers. But questions remain as to what caused the massive increase and when those deaths occurred. CBS2's John Dias has the details.
