With the latest exit, the coalition’s strength has nosedived from 118 to 100 in the 224-member legislative assembly in just five days. While 16 MLAs (13 from Congress and three from JD-S) have resigned from the assembly, two independents have withdrawn support to the HD Kumaraswamy government.
