Supreme Court on June 22 allowed Rath Yatra to be conducted in Puri, Odisha with certain restrictions. Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan welcomed the decision and said the guidelines by the Centre, state and Home Affairs Ministry will be followed. A class 12th student Divyanshi Jain, scored 600 marks out of 600 to get 100% marks in the CBSE class 12 results declared on July 13.The 18-year-old did not lose a single mark in any of her six subjects scoring a 100 in each. Divyanshi appeared for the exam of all subjects except Geography, which was cancelled due to Covid-19. She was also among the toppers at her school and had scored 97% marks. While speaking to ANI, she said, "It is not compulsory to score the maximum marks, what is important is to give your 100 per cent."

Dead bodies of two patients belonging to two different communities were swapped at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on July 06. Daughter of the deceased said, "We received a call from AIIMS, and the staff member told us that by mistake they have given someone else's body to us. My mother's body was still in the hospital. The body which we received belonged to a Muslim family." The body of the Muslim woman was cremated following Hindu customs.
