A senior doctor on the condition of anonymity told ANI that a team of doctors at AIIMS started to counsel Jaitley's family members last week as chances of Jaitley survival seemed were very bleak.

COVID-19 cured CAPF personnel donate plasma for treatment

Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) personnel who have recovered from coronavirus, donated plasma for treatment of COVID-19 positive patients. Speaking on it, Commandant 31st Battalion of CRPF, Deependra Rajput said, "139 CRPF jawans had tested positive for COVID-19 here. Out of 139, 138 have fully recovered and have returned to duty. Till now, three jawans have donated plasma and more are willing to do so. This is another way to serve the country." DIG of BSF, Lalit Kumar said, "We are preparing list of those who have recovered from COVID-19 and the list is with AIIMS hospital so whenever they'll feel need of plasma of BSF personnel, we will donate it to them."

India's growth in COVID cases not as high as other countries: AIIMS Director

All India Institute of Medical Sciences Director Randeep Guleria on June 27 reacted on surging COVID-19 cases in the country. He said that the rise in COVID cases in country are not that high if compared to countries affected from the invisible enemy and India has low mortality rate. He said, "Rise in cases in India is still not as high as compared to other countries. In US, there've been almost 40,000 cases per day in last 2 days, our numbers aren't that high. Cases per million population continue to be low and we still have low mortality rate."

The Director of All India Institute of Medical Sciences, (AIIMS), Dr Randeep Guleria said on June 12 that India is still very low in terms of number of cases of coronavirus, if one looks at number of cases per million population. "Although India has gone up to the 4th rank as far as COVID-19 cases are concerned, we have to accept that it is because of the population we have. If we look at number of cases per million population, we still are very low in terms of number of cases," said Dr Randeep Guleria.

Delhi may not see 5.5 lakh corona cases by July 31, but we need to be ready: AIIMS Director

The Director of All India Institute of Medical Sciences, (AIIMS), Dr Randeep Guleria reacted over Delhi's Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia's statement that 5.5 lakh cases are expected in the national capita by July 31. "Number of cases in Delhi may not be as high as predicted but still whatever be the number, we have to increase our capacity so that we can manage increasing load that healthcare system is going to get," he said.
