SC orders shifting of ex-CPI (M) MLA Mohd Yusuf Tarigami to AIIMS from Srinagar

A bench headed by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi said it was inclined to shift Tarigami, the former CPI (M) MLA, to AIIMS here. CPI(M) leader Sitaram Yechury told the bench that he has no objection if Tarigami was shifted to AIIMS for better treatment.

COVID-19: Manish Sisodia visits Union Home Secretary's office

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on June 22 met Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla over COVID-19 situation in the national capital. Union Home Minister Amit Shah on June 21 had a meeting with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal. During the meeting, it was decided that more "robust" contact tracing, revamp the entire containment zone strategy and strengthen medical services in areas most affected by the virus. During the meeting, it was decided that every death should be reported to the centre. The flurry of meetings started after the Supreme Court sharply rebuked Delhi and several other states earlier this month over their handling of the pandemic.

CM Gehlot's meeting with Congress MLAs concludes

The meeting which was held between Congress MLAs and Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot at his residence has been concluded now. After attending the meeting, Congress MLA Rajendra Gudda said, "Gehlot ji has the majority. We are also making efforts and some BJP MLAs are in our contact." The meeting was called after the crisis in Rajasthan Congress intensified with Gehlot and his Deputy CM Sachin Pilot at loggerheads.
