KCR: 48,000 transport employees on strike are ‘self-dismissed’

In an unprecedented move, Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao said on Monday the nearly 48,000 road transport corporation employees, who have been on strike for the last three days, have “self-dismissed” themselves and will not be allowed to report for work. Over 49,200 had gone on strike. Of them, 1,200 returned to work.

Home Guard rescues dog from overflowing tank bund in Telangana's Nagarkurnool

A Home Guard rescued a stray dog which was stuck in a bush during the flash over flow of tank bund in Nagarkurnool. The tank bund over flowed due to heavy rain. A Home Guard, who was assisting police, was deployed around the tank bund to avoid public movements near the area, he noticed a dog stuck in the bushes surrounded by water flow. JCB had been called and the Home Guard Mujeeb rescued the dog.
