Saturday, 9 November 2019 At east 40,000 police personnel have been deployed in Mumbai in view of the Supreme Court's verdict on the sensitive Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid suit, which will be delivered on Saturday, officials said.
President of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra trust, Nitya Gopal Das on July 01 said that they have written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi requesting him to visit Ayodhya and inaugurate the construction activities of Ram temple. "We'll ensure that there is no crowding," he added.
Following the relaxations in the COVID-19 lockdown, Hanumangarhi Temple in Ayodhya is preparing to reopen from Monday in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) issued by Union Home Ministry to prevent coronavirus spread. Mahant Kamal Nayan Das Ji Maharaj said that arrangements have been made at the religious site. Various measures have also been taken to ensure that social distancing is maintained by the devotees throughout their visit. As per some of the guidelines, prasad distribution or a sprinkling of holy water, will not be allowed inside religious places.
Ayodhya's Ram Janmabhoomi temple has decided to reopen its gate for devotees from June 08, under the guidelines of Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). Recently 'Ram Lalla' idol was shifted to makeshift temple in Ram Janmabhoomi premises.To ensure the safety of the people from coronavirus infection, the authorities of temple has dismissed all kind of offerings."Only five people are allowed to enter in the temple at a time, no offerings were allowed in the temple," said the priest, Acharya Satyendra Das. MHA has permitted to reopen the religious place from June 08 across the nation.
India Meteorological Department's senior scientist, RK Jenamani on the weather conditions in Gujarat and Delhi. Jenamani said, "Gujarat will receive very heavy rainfall from July 04 and 05. Delhi will also receive rainfall on July 04." He further predicted heat wave conditions will continue in parts of west Rajasthan. IMD further said, "Heavy rainfall will continue in Mumbai. We have kept 48 hours as rain color. Mumbai is usually prone to floods when there is heavy rainfall therefore we have kept it under monitoring."
Heavy rain accompanied by strong winds lashed Mumbai on July 03. Heavy showers are expected to continue in the financial capital for two days. Several areas of Mumbai were waterlogged after heavy rainfall. Water logging was witnessed in King's Circle area of Mumbai amid heavy rainfall. According to Regional Meteorological Centre, the minimum temperature of Mumbai in next 24 hours will be 25 degree Celsius and maximum temperature will be 31 degree Celsius.
Ace choreographer Saroj Khan passed away at the age of 71 in Mumbai on July 03. She was admitted to hospital on June 20 after she complained of breathing issues. She died due to a cardiac arrest in the ICU of Guru Nanak Hospital. The last rites of Saroj Khan will be performed at Malvani in Malad. She has given various hit choreographies including, 'Dola Re Dola', 'Dhak Dhak Karne Laga' and 'Ek Do Teen'.
