Monday, 18 November 2019 Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said in Rajya Sabha that people's hearts can be won by political parties even without rushing to the Well of the House to register their protest on various issues. Speaking in the House during a special discussion marking 250 sessions of Rajya Sabha, he said the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and the Biju Janata Dal have wonderfully adhered to parliamentary norms by not entering the Well of the House.

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on August 04 left for Ayodhya to attend Ram Temple bhoomi pujan. He will attend the foundation stone laying ceremony of Ram Temple on August 05. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Governor Anandiben Patel and president of Ram Mandir Trust, Nitya Gopal Das will be present on stage for the event. Meanwhile, a group of saints has also arrived in Ayodhya to attend the ceremony.
The stage is set for Prime Minister Narendra Modi to lay the foundation stone of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. Preparations are underway for the grand 'bhoomi poojan' on 5th August 2020, with Ayodhya celebrating the day as a 'mini-diwali'. The main guest list includes Prime Minister Narendra Modi, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath and governor Anandiben Patel. There will be a total of 175 people in attendance, comprising religious leaders and some eminent citizens from Ayodhya. Security has been increased in the region with around 4.000 security personnel including NSG commandos manning the site and 75 check posts blocking approach roads. The district borders have also been sealed since Monday night. The town is expected to shut down at least two hours before the PM arrives. Over one lakh laddus are being prepared for the ceremony and the saints participating in the ceremony will be given silver coins that have been sent by Shankaracharya Jayendra Saraswati of Kamikochi. Former Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot congratulated state's new Congress chief Govind Singh Dotasra on Wednesday. Pilot also hoped that the new chief will take care of the party workers whose hard work helped Congress to form the government in the state. Pilot's statement came after Dotasra formally took over as Rajasthan Congress chief. Pilot was Congress chief in Rajasthan before he was sacked from the post earlier this month. He was sacked after he rebelled against Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. Pilot was the Congress president in Rajasthan for six years. He was widely credited for leading party to victory in 2018 assembly polls. Meanwhile, CM Gehlot trooped to the residence of Governor Kalraj Mishra. This came after Raj Bhavan returned his proposal to convene session of state assembly for third time. The state government had proposed Mishra to reiterate its demand to convene assembly session from July 31. Gehlot government, however, didn't mention whether it will seek a trust vote in the House. Earlier, Mishra had suggested a 21-day notice period to convene the House. He had sought clarity on session’s agenda and also advised live-streaming of the floor test, in case it was held. Mishra had also asked about Covid-19 pandemic-related precautions in the assembly.

Sunil Jakhar, Punjab Congress president on August 4 reacted on party's two Rajya Sabha members, who demanded CBI and Enforcement Directorate probe against their own party, which is in power in the state. He said that Partap Singh Bajwa and Shamsher Singh Dullo have crossed the 'laxman Rekha' and Congress party cannot afford to have such members who are trying to bite its own hand which is feeding them. "I believe Congress party cannot afford to have such members who are trying to bite the hand which is feeding them. They have crossed 'Laxman Rekha' (line of self restraint) by going to governor and seeking CBI and ED probe against their own govt," said Jakhar. Recently, Congress Rajya Sabha members from Punjab, Partap Singh Bajwa and Shamsher Singh Dullo wrote letter to the Governor asking CBI and ED probe into production of illegal liquor in the state.

His mortal remains were taken from his Chhatarpur residence to a crematorium on August 03. Amar Singh, 64, passed away at a Singapore hospital on August 01. He was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Singapore for several months.

Rajnath Singh also met his family members. Amar Singh, 64, passed away at a Singapore hospital on August 01. He was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Singapore for several months.
Biju Janata Dal (BJD) student wing paid tribute to slain soldiers of Galwan Valley clash in Bhubaneswar. They lit candles to mark their tribute. 20 Indian Army soldiers lost their lives in Ladakh's Galwan Valley on June 16 after violent face-off between Indian and Chinese troops. The Chinese side also suffered casualties in the clash.
