Govt seeks apology from Congress MPs for behaviour towards Smriti Irani
Friday, 6 December 2019 The government on Friday sought an apology from two Lok Sabha members of the Congress for their "threatening position" towards Union Minister Smriti Irani, when she was speaking on the Unnao rape issue in the House.
Smriti Irani hit back at Congress's Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury for politicising crimes. Irani was responding to Chowdhury's remark that while temples are being built for Ram, Sita is being set ablaze. Irani accused Congress of politicising and communalising.
