Robert Vadra slams manhandling of Priyanka by UP cop
Sunday, 29 December 2019 Robert Vadra on Sunday took to Twitter express his displeasure: "I am extremely disturbed at the way Priyanka was manhandled by the woman cops. While one held her by the throat, the other woman cop pushed her & she fell down. But she was determined & she travelled on a two-wheeler to meet family members of Former IPS officer SR Darapuri. I am proud of you Priyanka for being compassionate & for reaching out to people who need you. What you did was correct & there is no crime to be with people in need or in grief"
Robert Vadra, son- in law of Congress president Sonia Gandhi, reacted over former deputy chief minister Sachin Pilot's 'homecoming'. "Everything will settle down and I think wherever we have government the central government should let us administrate properly and they should not interfere and they should not try to disrupt a government that is functioning properly," Robert Vadra said.
Robert Vadra, son-in-law of Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi and husband of party leader Priyanka Gandhi on August 08 visited the AIIMS where a 12-year-old rape victim who is admitted at the hospital after facing sexual abuse. Speaking to ANI, Vadra said that he met the parents of the girl, and requested the doctors for best possible treatment that could be given to the victim. Vadra informed that he managed to get the parents a room in a dharamshala near the hospital. Vadra also expressed displeasure over the state of security of women in the country.
On the occasion of Eid-al-Adha, many Bollywood celebrities posted wishes via social media. Actor Shah Rukh Khan tweeted wishes with a photograph of his son AbRam offering prayers. Actor Salman Khan posted an image from his farmhouse with the message of 'Eid Mubarak'. Sending a message amid the Covid-19 pandemic, Salman had covered his face while standing in a field. Emraan Hashmi spread awareness about Covid precautions with a funny tweet of a sheep wearing a mask. Farah Khan's Eid wishes with a photograph of her triplets also had a reference to the pandemic. Priyanka Chopra, Arjun Rampal, and Madhuri Dixit Nene were some of the other celebrities who extended Eid wishes. Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan, who is undergoing treatment for Covid infection at a hospital in Mumbai, also tweeted wishes for the festival. Eid-al-Adha 2020 is one of the festivals being celebrated under the shadow of the ongoing pandemic.
