Govt should bring resolution telling Army we want PoK back: Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury
Wednesday, 5 February 2020 Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury on Wednesday, while recalling the statement made by Army chief General MM Naravane last month over PoK, said that government should bring another resolution telling the Army that we want them to bring the territory back to us.

The Indian Army on November 25 successfully test-fired the BrahMos missile in the Bay of Bengal. The missile, developed by Defence Research and Development Organisation, hit the designated target at over 250 km with pinpoint accuracy, the Indian Army said. Addressing a press conference in West Bengal's Murshidabad on November 10, Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury spoke on Bihar election results. Ranjan said, "Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) tactic of using (Asaduddin) Owaisi Sahab's party in the Bihar elections has succeeded to an extent." "All secular parties (dharm nirpeksh) should be alert about vote cutter Owaisi Sahab," he added.
Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane was conferred with the honorary rank of 'General of the Nepal Army' by Nepal President Bidhya Devi Bhandari on November 05. He was also presented a sword and a scroll during the function. This age-long tradition reflects the strong ties between both the countries.

General Naravane will be conferred with honorary rank of 'General of the Nepal Army' during his visit by Nepalese President Bidya Devi Bhandari at an event in Kathmandu. Army Chief is on a three-day long visit to Nepal.

Bhupesh Baghel, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister and senior Congress leader, took on those seeking introspection following the party's subpar performance in the Bihar Assembly election. He said that leaders like Ghulam Nabi Azad and Kapil Sibal used to tell their junior colleagues to only raise party issues on internal fora, but were doing the opposite themselves. Senior Congress leader Ahmed Patel laid to rest in Gujarat's Bharuch on November 26. Former party present Rahul Gandhi, former chief minister of Madhya Pradesh Kamal Nath along with other leaders was present at Burial Ground. Patel breathed his last after multi-organ failure in the wee hours of Nov 25. He was undergoing treatment at a Gurugram hospital after testing positive for COVID-19. He was 71-year-old.
