Orphaned by Bengaluru-Kolkata murder-suicide, 10-year-old in shelter asks: ‘Where’s Mummy?’

IndiaTimes Friday, 26 June 2020 ()
“Where is Mummy? Will you ask her to come over quickly. I haven’t ever been away from her for so long,” the 10-year-old boy told Child Welfare Committee Howrah chairperson Amrita Ghosh in a quivering voice. Four days after Shilpi Agarwal was murdered in the apartment in Bengaluru’s Whitefield, where she and her son lived, the boy is still unaware that he will never see her again. Neither does he know that his father and grandmother are dead.
