Sushil Modi rebukes Tejashwi over 'jamaat' jibes at BJP
Thursday, 16 July 2020 Bihar deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi Thursday slammed RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav for indirectly drawing parallels between the explosion of COVID-19 cases at the state BJP headquarters here and the Tablighi Jamaat congregation in Delhi in March.
The chief of Bihar police commented on the progress in the investigation into actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death. DGP Gupteshwar Pandey said that the probe team visiting Mumbai was yet to receive important documents like forensic and autopsy reports from Maharashtra police. He added that he's sure that Mumbai cops will cooperate in the probe and the case will move further when such information and documents are received. A day earlier, Bihar deputy CM Sushil Kumar Modi had alleged that Maharashtra government was under pressure from a Congress-backed 'Bollywood mafia' to let those involved in the Sushant case go scot-free. The Bihar police is also looking for Siddharth Pithani, Sushant's flatmate, who had earlier written to the Mumbai police that the late actor's family was pressurising him to give a statement against Rhea Chakraborty. Sushant Singh was found dead at his Mumbai house on June 14. His father has accused his girlfriend Rhea of wrongfully confining him and also taking crores of Rupees from him.

While speaking to ANI in Patna on August 04, the leader of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Tejashwi Yadav spoke on Bihar government recommending Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe in Sushant Singh Rajput's death case. He said, "RJD was the first party to demand CBI probe, we strongly raised this demand in the state assembly also." "A court-monitored CBI probe would be better," Yadav added.
RJD Leader and main opposition leader in Bihar, Tejashwi Yadav, on August 03 reacted on the current situation of Bihar Police in alleged suicide case of Sushant Singh Rajput by saying that the Bihar government is letting state police get insulted. Yadav sarcastically demanded state government to demand CBI enquiry in the case. "Centre and Home Ministry have all powers, they must intervene. This double-engine government should demand CBI inquiry and request Home Minister. It shouldn't be politicised, we're with Rajput's family," said Yadav. Yadav also slammed Chief Minister Nitish Kumar government in the Bihar Assembly over COVID-19 situation. He said that all the public representatives should go in their respective areas and review the situation with the officers and give right feedback to the state government.
Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav visited flood-affected areas in Bihar's Madhubani on July 22. He visited Madhepur Block of Madhubani district and donated money among affected. Parts of Bihar are reeling with floods due to heavy rainfall. While speaking to ANI, Tejashwi Yadav said, "Parts of Bihar are flooded but Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is missing and invisible." "He is not helping people in this time of crisis," he added.
While Sachin Pilot has made truce with the Congress party, questions are now being raised on how he would get along with CM Gehlot. During the peak of the crisis in Rajasthan, several Gehlot backers had launched a tirade against Pilot and his loyalists. The Chief Minister himself had once referred to Pilot as 'nikamma' and accused him of conspiring to topple the state government with the help of the BJP. Gehlot had said that Pilot had a meteoric rise in the party but he used his innocent face to get a sway over the media and provoke MLAs to rebel against his government. Sachin Pilot has now responded to the jibes and said that some of the things that were said were saddening and added that he would never cross the Lakshman Rekha in attacking anybody. In a jibe at Gehlot, he said that the Chief Minister is elder to him and he would refrain from responding to his attacks but added that the facts are now out for everyone to see. Meanwhile, Rhea has moved the Supreme Court and filed petitions seeking transfer of all cases from Patna to Mumbai. In a separate plea, Rhea said that a media trial was underway and she had been declared guilty. She also said that she was being made a political scapegoat and alleged that the Bihar CM was behind the FIR against her in Patna.
