Reportedly, a policeman fell in front of his convoy. The MP immediately stopped the car and rushed to help. Scindia left after making arrangements to take the injured policeman to the hospital.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on March 28 laid foundation stone for extension of terminal building at Gorakhpur Airport in Uttar Pradesh. Civil Aviation Minister (Independent Charge) Hardeep Singh Puri was also present during the event. Dignitaries also flagged off an Alliance Air flight from Gorakhpur to Lucknow under RCS-UDAN on this occasion. Nand Gopal Gupta, Minister of Civil Aviation, Uttar Pradesh; Ravindra Shyamnarayan Shukla 'Ravi Kishan' MP (Lok Sabha); Shiv Pratap Khukla, MP (Rajya Sabha); Jai Prakash Nishad, MP (Rajya Sabha) and Dr. Radha Mohan Das Agrawal, MLA Gorakhpur Urban (U.P.) Shri Anuj Agrawal, Chairman, AAI, and other senior officials of AAI were also present during the event. The existing terminal building commissioned in the year 2018 was designed to cater 100 passengers and has an area of 1890 sqm. The passenger traffic at the Gorakhpur airport has grown exponentially in very short span of time. Thus, to increase the passenger handling capacity of the airport and make the airport suitable for Airbus 320 type of Aircraft, AAI has planned the extension of the existing terminal building at a cost of Rs 26.87 crore. Spread in an area of 3440 sqm, the extended terminal will be equipped with 10 check-in-counters and two conveyor belts in arrival hall. The new expanded building will have escalators, lifts and enough space for a restaurant and commercial activities. Airports Authority of India (AAI) under the Ministry of Civil Aviation is committed to develop airport infrastructure in the country and provide the world-class services.

Eateries, shops in Delhi will now have to mention if meat being served is halal or jhatka. This comes after BJP-led North Delhi Municipal Corporation cleared a proposal in this regard. The proposal was recently moved by the Standing Committee of the NDMC. North Delhi Mayor Jai Prakash said the House 'cleared the proposal in its meeting’. “Eateries, shops in Delhi will have to display if they are serving halal or jhatka meat. We approved a proposal, making it mandatory for all eateries, meat shops to display it. They will have to put up posters stating whether they serve/sell halal or jhatka meat,” Prakash said. Jhatka' method is one in which an animal is slaughtered in one go, while in the 'halal' method, an animal is allowed to die after cutting a vein. A similar proposal was cleared by the House of BJP-led SDMC late January. Officials had said eateries, meat shops will have to display it 'clearly and visibly’.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament Sanjay Singh on March 24 claimed that GNCTD Amendment Bill is 'unconstitutional' and that's why the party is opposing it in upper house. He also said that "BJP is losing in Delhi and that's why bringing such bill to remove AAP". Sanjay Singh said, "Central government is liable to bring a Constitutional Amendment Bill in House before making any amendment to constitution. I gave a notice in Rajya Sabha yesterday that this (GNCTD Amendment) Bill is unconstitutional and mustn't be allowed to be presented in House." He further said, "They (BJP) have been losing for 23 years and now want to remove a government (AAP) that has consistently worked for people of Delhi and has also been winning by majority. All political parties are opposing this Bill because this can happen to anyone tomorrow."
