Rajasthan Congress MLAs lodged at Hotel Suryagarh in Jaisalmer celebrated the birthday of Congress MLA Bharosi Lal Jatav on August 03. Congress MLAs supporting Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot are lodged at Suryagarh hotel. They reached Suryagarh Hotel in Jaisalmer on August 31. They were earlier lodged at the Fairmont Hotel in Jaipur.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on August 2 said that he has written to PM regarding locust menace in the state. He said, "I had seen such menace only 30 years back. This year it's massive. Only 2-3 districts of the state have not seen locust attacks, crops are getting destroyed. I have requested the PM to declare this a national disaster," "Farmers should be given compensation for the damage of their crops and a survey should be done for the same," added Gehlot.
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and Railway Minister Piyush Goyal flagged off 10 diesel locomotives on July 27. The locomotives were handed over by the Indian Railways to Bangladesh Railways through video conferencing. Railway Minister Piyush Goyal said, "These locomotives will be useful in handling the growing train operations between India and Bangladesh. To suit the Bangladesh railways environment and ensure the usability of these locomotives, they have been modified to suit your conditions. He said, "Gajendra Singh Shekhawat's name has come up in Sanjivini Cooperative Society (alleged scam). Court has also directed in the matter. He should resign on moral grounds."
Minister for Transport and Soldiers Welfare in Rajasthan Pratap Khachariyawas said that Chief Minister Ashok Gahlot have said if audio tape is proven to be false he will resign from politics. "MHA jumped into this matter as their political leaders told them they may get trapped as SOG Rajasthan has evidence and audio clip is authentic. Nation knows CM's honesty. He had said if audio is proven to be false, he'll retire from politics. After this, Gajendra Singh, Gulab Chand Kataria, Satish Poonia, Rajendra Rathore declared the audio to be false. Can they give a statement like CM? Narendra Modi and Amit Shah should come to the front, they should say if they will resign. The CM has said clearly," said Khachariyawas.

On their menu is a dish called 'covid curry' and a 'mask naan' that customers in their restaurant are finding fascinating. A customer who was at the restaurant said that she is impressed by the dish and also the preventive measures in place at the restaurant. The owner of the restaurant said that they want to spread a message about covid via food. He also stressed that they ensure proper sanitization and focus on hygiene to keep customers safe. The restaurant is also providing digital menus so people can access it on their phone and place their orders without having to use a physical menu. Over 42,000 Covid cases have been reported in the state of Rajasthan so far with over 690 fatalities. Over 29,900 people have also recovered from Covid in the desert state so far. A huge language war has erupted over the Modi government's New Education Policy 2020. The AIADMK and the DMK have raised the red flag over the three language policy in the NEP. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister E Palaniswami has said that Tamil Nadu will not implement the 3 language policy and will stick to the dual language policy. He also called the three language formula painful and saddening and urged the Prime Minister to reconsider the three language formula. Meanwhile, DMK chief MK Stalin also attacked the Modi government over the issue. He also slammed PM Modi's assertion that the NPE would ensure education is provided to all sections of society. Stalin said that the NPE would result in education becoming a privilege of the select few in the next 10 years. Though the three-language policy gives powers to states to decide on what that language would be taught, political parties in Tamil Nadu see this as a tacit attempt by the centre to impose Hindi. She said that she has informed the temple trust authorities and also the PMO that she would not be attending the bhoomi poojan event and would offer her prayers after PM Modi and others leave the spot. The former Union Minister said that she has been especially worried after news of Amit Shah and other BJP leaders tested positive for Covid on Sunday. Massive preparations are underway in Ayodhya for the foundation laying ceremony of the Ram Temple on August 5th. PM Modi and 200 other people are expected to attend the event.
