Jammu youths are excelling in different sports and football is one of them. Many youngsters gathered at Sainik Colony ground to brush up their football skills. Interestingly, many of these youngsters have represented Jammu and Kashmir in national and international tournaments and are working hard to excel in the game. These young players are practicing day and night to improve their football skills to achieve new heights. The Sainik Colony ground is equipped with stadium lights so that these players can practice in night also. However, there are certain demands of the players and their coaches like turf stadium and better coaches. Football has recently become very popular in Jammu and Kashmir Real Kashmir FC is very hot among youngsters and they want to play for the team. Jammu and Kashmir is emerging as a new hub of sports and cultural activities and many young talents are representing the Union Territory worldwide.
Several people, reportedly BJP workers gathered outside PDP office in Jammu to hoist the Indian flag. People were seen trying to hoist the national flag over Jammu and Kashmir's state flag. Three people, claiming to be BJP workers from Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir, were on Monday detained while trying to hoist the tricolour at the historic clock tower near the city centre here, officials said. Three people tried to hoist the tricolour at 'Ghanta Ghar' (clock tower) in the commercial hub of Lal Chowk here early Monday morning, the officials said. They said the trio, claiming to be BJP workers from Kupwara district of north Kashmir, raised slogans of 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' and in favour of the party and tried to hoist the tricolour at the clock tower. However, the police swung into action and took them into custody. This comes after PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti’s recent remarks on the national flag. A 14-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped by three men in Bhopal, police said, adding that the victim had become friends with accused while playing PUBG (mobile game app).
