Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with fitness experts and influencers from across the country on Thursday. The event marked the one-year anniversary of Fit India Movement. Indian cricketer Virat Kohli, model-actor-runner Milind Soman among others participated in the event. Paralympic athlete Devendra Jhajharia and footballer Afshan Ashiq also spoke at the event. Four people died and nine were injured in a collision at NH 28 highway in Ayodhya. Two injured have been refereed to Lucknow for primary treatment while the remaining have been admitted in the district hospital. The incident took place at around 5 am on September 20. A police official said, "9 people were injured after a collision between a tempo and a truck. The injured were taken to the hospital where 4 of them were declared brought dead. Investigation is underway."
Kangana Ranaut landed in Mumbai this afternoon amid protests by Shiv Sena workers at the airport. Members of the Republican of India and the fringe Karni Sena were also present at the airport to offer their support to Kangana. Shiv Sena workers held posters and chanted slogans demanding that the actor go to Pakistan. This after Kangana had earlier compared Mumbai to PoK in her tweet and said she stood vindicated in a tweet this morning. Hours before Kangana’s Mumbai return, a team of BMC officials had demolished a part of the actor’s office, which was allegedly constructed without approval from the civic body. Kangana had compared it with the razing of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya and called the BMC officials Babar’s army. The Bombay High Court has stayed the demolition and asked the civic body to respond to the actor’s petition. Kangana had earlier dared the Maharashtra government to stop her from returning to Mumbai. BJP general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya on September 24 slammed Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee over latter's criticism against the farm bills. He said the West Bengal CM is opposing the agriculture bills because all 'cut money people' (middlemen) will vanish due to these farm reforms. "I want to assure the farmers of the state that this bill will prohibit the exploitation of farmers," he added.
Amidst protest from some fellow BJP MLAs, a major reshuffle in Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh-led coalition government took place on September 24 by dropping six cabinet ministers and inducting five new MLAs including two ex-MLAs who had resigned from the Congress party. The swearing-in ceremony was also attended by BJP's vice president Baijayant Jay Panda and BJP North East general secretary (organisation) Ajay Jamwal. I hope we can work more for development," says CM N Biren Singh The two ex- MLAs inducted as ministers today are Okram Henry Singh and Oinam Lhukhoi Singh. Both were Congress MLAs who had resigned from the state assembly and joined the BJP in August this year. The other three inducted as ministers in the government are MLAs Sorokhaibam Rajen, Thokchom Satyabrata Singh and Vungzagin Valte. All three are from the BJP. One more cabinet seat is still yet to be filled as six cabinet ministers have been removed from the government.
BJP chief JP Nadda lashed out at the Mamata Banerjee government in West Bengal and accused it of being anti-Hindu. Speaking at the party’s West Bengal state executive meeting, Nadda said that Trinamool Congress government lifted the lockdown for Bakrid but imposed it again on the day of the Ram Temple ‘bhoomi poojan’ on 5th August. Nadda questioned the need for a lockdown on August 5th and alleged that it was done to prevent people from being part of the occasion at the local level. Nadda further said that this is politics of appeasement and added that it shows the anti-Hindu mindset of the TMC government in the state. The BJP president said that the Mamata Banerjee government’s anti-Hindu stance needs to be exposed in front of the people of the state. He said that the BJP had been making constant strides in terms of vote percentage in the state and urged people to throw away the Trinamool government in the state and bring the BJP to power. While addressing at the event on September 10 via video conferencing in the national capital, BJP President JP Nadda said, "On August 05, foundation stone of Ram Temple was laid but Mamata didi (Mamata Banerjee) imposed a lockdown in the state on that day. However, on July 31, Bakri-eid, lockdown was lifted." "This vote bank and appeasement politics which creates anti-Hindu mindset is Mamata didi's politics," he added.
A team of the BMC reached Kangana Ranaut’s residence this morning and razed the ‘illegal structure’ that was allegedly built with approval of the civic body. BMC had pasted notices outside the actor’s residence on Tuesday evening on the issue. This comes as the actor is involved in a heated war of words with the Shiv Sena over her ‘Mumbai-PoK’ remark. Kangana who is going to reach Mumbai this afternoon tweeted to say that it was an act by ‘Babar and his army’. She also likened the demolition to the Ram Temple demolition and said that this is the reason why she had compared Mumbai to PoK. Kangana Ranaut’s lawyer also approached the Bombay High Court against the demolition drive. The demolition follows a heated verbal duel between the actor and some leaders of the Shiv Sena over her statements on the Mumbai police. Maharashtra govt has also said that the Mumbai police will probe allegations leveled by Adhyayan Suman that Kangana used to consume drugs. All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi on August 05 slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said PM has violated the oath of the office by laying the foundation stone of Ram Mandir.
