Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar has lashed out at the Congress and other opposition parties over the agri bills. Tomar said that Congress had mentioned these very points in their manifesto at the state level in Punjab and also the national manifesto. Tomar said that Congress should first admit that they are making a U-turn on what they had said in the manifesto. Tomar added that Congress is only trying to mislead the farmers and now it’s time for them to get justice and freedom. He said that the Congress had so much opportunity to work for farmers but succumbed to pressure from some quarters. Tomar slammed the opposition for the unruly scenes in the Rajya Sabha and added that there was no reason to send the bills to the select committee. ‘Farmers are now going to get the freedom to sell their produce anywhere they want, they will be free. BJP chief JP Nadda lashed out at the Mamata Banerjee government in West Bengal and accused it of being anti-Hindu. Speaking at the party’s West Bengal state executive meeting, Nadda said that Trinamool Congress government lifted the lockdown for Bakrid but imposed it again on the day of the Ram Temple ‘bhoomi poojan’ on 5th August. Nadda questioned the need for a lockdown on August 5th and alleged that it was done to prevent people from being part of the occasion at the local level. Nadda further said that this is politics of appeasement and added that it shows the anti-Hindu mindset of the TMC government in the state. The BJP president said that the Mamata Banerjee government’s anti-Hindu stance needs to be exposed in front of the people of the state. He said that the BJP had been making constant strides in terms of vote percentage in the state and urged people to throw away the Trinamool government in the state and bring the BJP to power. A team of the BMC reached Kangana Ranaut’s residence this morning and razed the ‘illegal structure’ that was allegedly built with approval of the civic body. BMC had pasted notices outside the actor’s residence on Tuesday evening on the issue. This comes as the actor is involved in a heated war of words with the Shiv Sena over her ‘Mumbai-PoK’ remark. Kangana who is going to reach Mumbai this afternoon tweeted to say that it was an act by ‘Babar and his army’. She also likened the demolition to the Ram Temple demolition and said that this is the reason why she had compared Mumbai to PoK. The demolition follows a heated verbal duel between the actor and some leaders of the Shiv Sena over her statements on the Mumbai police. Four people died and nine were injured in a collision at NH 28 highway in Ayodhya. Two injured have been refereed to Lucknow for primary treatment while the remaining have been admitted in the district hospital. The incident took place at around 5 am on September 20. A police official said, "9 people were injured after a collision between a tempo and a truck. The injured were taken to the hospital where 4 of them were declared brought dead. Investigation is underway."
Kangana Ranaut landed in Mumbai this afternoon amid protests by Shiv Sena workers at the airport. Members of the Republican of India and the fringe Karni Sena were also present at the airport to offer their support to Kangana. Shiv Sena workers held posters and chanted slogans demanding that the actor go to Pakistan. Kangana had compared it with the razing of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya and called the BMC officials Babar’s army. The Bombay High Court has stayed the demolition and asked the civic body to respond to the actor’s petition. Kangana had earlier dared the Maharashtra government to stop her from returning to Mumbai.
