Father receiving treatment in Delhi, my Bihar visit will be delayed: Chirag Pawan
Monday, 21 September 2020 "On August 24 I had informed you that father was being admitted to a hospital for a routine health checkup. To ensure that people do not face hassles in getting rations delivered during the corona crisis, he had kept on delaying his routine health checkup therefore he got slightly unhealthy. For the past three weeks, he is being treated at a hospital in Delhi and I hope that he will return soon amidst us after getting treated," the letter, written on Sunday, read.
National president Lok Janshakti Party Chirag Paswan slammed Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar by comparing him with 'Mahishasura' over Munger violence. He said that the people of the state which he termed goddess Durga bhakts, will tell CM Kumar that how will they kill (vadh) the 'Mahishasuri' government on voting day.
LJP Chief Chirag Paswan has said that that Nitish Kumar’s time as Chief Minister is up and he will not return to power. Chirag Paswan said that the BJP and LJP would form government in the state after election and added that it would work for development in the state. Paswan further attacked the Chief Minister saying that people have not forgotten how he treated the migrant labourers during the Covid crisis and lockdown and also lashed out at him over the recent firing incident in Munger where one person was killed. The first phase of polling was held in Bihar on 28th of October and witnessed a turnout of around 54.26 percent. The next two phase are scheduled to be held on 3rd & 7th of November and the result will be declared on 10th of November. The major battle is between the Nitish Kumar led NDA and Tejsashwi Yadav led Mahagathbandhan. First phase of Bihar state assembly elections took place on October 28. The voter turn-out in the first phase neared 50%. Lok Janshakti Party president Chirag Paswan adamantly claimed that a new government of BJP-LJP will be formed in Bihar on November 10. Chirag Paswan said, "I spoke to various candidates and I could feel a sense of enthusiasm in their voice. Clearly, whatever voting has taken place this time is for a change and for development. People have considered various atrocities. The feedback which I have received clearly indicates that it is very difficult that Bihar Chief Minister will get re-elected. BJP-LJP government will be formed on November 10 in Bihar."
S.N Shrivastava, Commissioner Delhi Police, felicitated the meritorious students of Delhi Police Public Schools who secured exceptionally good marks in Class XII, NEET and JEE at Police headquarters. Teachers and students from all the three schools were also present virtually to witness the ceremony. 25 students were awarded merit certificates, cash rewards and trophies for their achievements. 11 among these 25 students are wards of Delhi Police personnel. LG award and Rajesh IPS award for the best student of the year was also presented to class XII students. Other than school toppers, stream toppers and achievers in NEET and JEE were also rewarded. On this occasion, the Commissioner of Police commended the Principal of the schools as well as the school faculty for putting sincere efforts with dedication, which resulted in getting excellent results. These schools are run as welfare measures for police personnel by the Police Foundation for Education, Delhi.
The Shiv Sena on Friday hit out at the BJP for its "silence" on the firing on people during Durga idol immersion in Munger in Bihar, where the latter is in power along with the Nitish Kumar-led JD(U). One person was killed and over two dozen people, including security personnel, injured in firing and stone- pelting during goddess Durga idol immersion late Monday night in Munger's Deen Dayal Upadhyay Chowk. The Election Commission has removed the District Magistrate and the Superintendent of Police of Munger. a group of protesters went on the rampage in the town on Thursday, setting some police stations and outposts on fire and ransacking the SP and the SDO offices. Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Munger Manu Maharaj on Friday said that situation is normal now in Munger and additional force has been deployed. Watch the full video for more details.

Congress delegation on October 30 met Bihar Governor Phagu Chauhan in regards to the Munger firing incident in which a person died. After the meeting, AICC General Secretary Randeep Singh Surjewala said that they demanded resignation of state Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi. The Congress delegation also demanded ex-gratia of Rs 50 lakh for the parents of the deceased.
